CACU College and Career planners frequently found themselves answering the same basic questions when meeting with KC Metro area families. In order to help streamline the face-to-face process, I drafted a “Helpful FAFSA Tips” one sheet to assist families before they met with our advisors.
I served as the product manager for DashVault, a mobile safety deposit box. In addition to my technical responsibilities, I was frequently asked to draft landing pages, redirect pages, and any other quick designs needed as the development process progressed. The following design was created using Balsamiq. I provided original copy as well.
While serving as the product manager for DashVault, one of my first priorities was developing a roll-out timeline which included marketing and website assets. I created a campaign specifically meant to target highly engaged internal staff members. I designed the following pages using Affinity Publisher.
DashVault was quickly developed as an experimental product in the CACU Innovation Lab. I quickly assembled easy-to-follow brand guidelines using Affinity Designer. I was responsible for all copy, design, and layout.
The initial resource library was clunky and difficult for families to navigate. The end result being an email or phone call to our college and career advisors. To help deter families from frequently contacting counselors for tedious questions, I designed an overhaul of the resources page. I created all mock-ups using Affinity Designer.
The College & Career Planning service needed to expand across the KC Metro area. Upon surveying frontline team members, I found that the program severely lacked informational materials—flyers, brochures, business cards, etc. In addition to covering basic outreach materials, I drafted a brochure that eventually morphed into a 2-sided single sheet. I provided copy and design direction. Balsamiq was used for the initial draft.
As a product manager, marketing tasks naturally came with the role. I have provided a few examples to highlight my email creation process from design to execution. Extensive A/B testing was also done throughout all Innovation Lab email campaigns. Act-On was used for email deployment with the assistance of the CACU marketing team. Design drafts and copy were provided by myself. Final designs were executed by the CACU marketing team to remain within compliance and brand standards.
In 2019, I provided project management support for the launch of FAFSAChat. My responsibilities included top-down marketing efforts.
Examples include a promotional video (directed, scripted, and floor directed by myself), social media posts, and a promotional email which included a custom gif (created by the marketing team by my request) which highlights the user flow of FAFSAChat.
